Come out and celebrate The NOLA Project Gee Whiz Mardi Gras Hoopla! It's the fundraiser for the rest of us! No expensive tickets, no stuffy atmosphere, no exclusivity. On Mardi Gras Day this year, we are taking over the entire second floor and balcony of the Balcony Music Club on the corner of Esplanade and Decatur! That means all-day CLEAN bathroom access (thus the gee Whiz :), cheap beer, a place to meet up and kick back, some food to chow down on, and perhaps the best people-watching balcony spot in all of the Quarter! For a small $25 donation, we'll give you a NOLA Project wristband that grants you ALL-DAY access to our spot at the B.M.C. Come in, go out, come back, or just treat it as a headquarters of sort for your group. And know that the best part is that you are helping to support New Orleans' most exciting theatre company, The NOLA Project!
Funds from our wristband sales will help fund our exciting 2012 lineup of shows and events. So come on down this Mardi Gras Day and march your way up Decatur or Esplanade to find your friends at The NOLA Project at the Balcony Music Club's second floor party room. The NOLA Project is a 501c3 non-profit theatre company based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The NOLA Project is an intrepid artist-driven ensemble of theatre artists that create high-stakes, high-octane theatre. We present plays with a fervent passion and a love for the craft of acting. Our desire is to create rousing theatre with the best actors in New Orleans. Through the creation of new works, high quality performances of relevant great works, and by serving as a resource to area students and artists, The NOLA Project hopes to be one of the standard bearers of New Orleans' artistic renaissance, sharing its work in the city and bringing word of the city's revived arts scene to the rest of the country.
